Terms of service and privacy policy for SMS communications

By providing your phone number on our booking form or to a North Columbus Cleaning team member, you agree we may text you booking confirmations, scheduling messages, day-before reminders, quote messages, and post-service follow-ups at the number you provide.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies (typically 3–5 messages per booking). Text HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. See the full terms below and our Privacy Policy for details.

Terms of Service

By opting in to SMS messages from North Columbus Cleaning, you agree to receive text messages for customer support, service updates, and other communications related to your account.

The kinds of messages we send include: booking confirmations, appointment reminders the day before a cleaning, scheduling change notifications, post-service follow-up and review requests, quote messages and booking links, replies to questions you send us, and operational updates (e.g. crew running late). All texts come from (740) 913-3693.

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies and depends on the cleaning services you have scheduled (a one-time customer typically receives 3–5 messages around their cleaning; a recurring customer receives messages on each visit cadence). If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

Privacy Policy

North Columbus Cleaning does not share mobile numbers, text messaging originator opt-in data, or consent with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information may be shared only with subcontractors and service providers that support the delivery of SMS services, such as messaging platforms, telecommunications providers, or customer support vendors. This information is used solely to provide and operate the messaging service.

All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.

Specifically, we work with

  • Quo (formerly OpenPhone) — our messaging platform that delivers SMS to and from our business phone number. Their privacy policy.
  • Booking Koala — our booking and customer-management system, which triggers transactional messages (booking confirmations, reminders, etc.) on our behalf. Their privacy policy.
  • Telecommunications carriers (the wireless provider that delivers each message to your phone).

Your opt-in itself, your mobile number, and your consent record stay with us and the providers listed above. We do not sell, rent, lease, or share that data with marketers, advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.

How long we keep messaging data

  • Opt-in records: retained for the duration of your customer relationship plus seven years (for compliance audit purposes).
  • SMS message history: retained for two years inside our messaging platform, then archived or deleted.
  • Opt-out records: retained indefinitely so we don’t accidentally re-add a number that previously asked us to stop.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • See what mobile information we have associated with your number.
  • Correct or update your contact details.
  • Stop sending SMS to your number (reply STOP, or email us — either works).
  • Delete your messaging history (subject to legal retention requirements).
